In an inspiring new initiative featuring an all Latinx / Hispanic cast of trans women and queer males is here! This groundbreaking campaign, entirely in Spanish, highlights the critical importance of knowing one's HIV status and urges individuals to order free HIV self-test kits through a user-friendly portal available in both Spanish and English. Participants can order up to two kits, which are delivered discreetly to any address they provide, ensuring ease and accessibility for all.
The campaign brought together a remarkable ensemble of individuals, each driven by a shared passion for the cause and a desire to make a meaningful impact in their communities. For Luis Aceves, being part of the campaign was a profoundly moving experience. "Being part of this campaign was incredibly special. It’s not often that I get to work on a project that can impact both my Hispanic and LGBTQIA+ family. Meeting such beautiful people during the shoot was just a wonderful bonus," he shared, capturing the essence of the campaign's inclusive spirit.
Lila Star, another participant, described her involvement as a transformative experience. "This experience was nothing short of amazing, working with not only complete professionals but whom also possessed beautiful energies, which made the final product that much more magical! I’m so proud and would do it all over again!" she exclaimed, highlighting the positive and collaborative atmosphere that permeated the set.
The campaign's success is evident not only in the final product but also in the profound impact it had on those involved. Yai Ariza reflected on the campaign's reach and significance, saying, "It was one of the best campaigns that I’ve ever been part of! The amount of people that this campaign actually helps is incredible, and the level of love and respect is amazing for me! Thank you again for bringing me on this because it felt so good, the process and of course the results of it."
Brian Brigantti echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the supportive environment and the importance of the campaign's message. "I had an incredible experience working on this campaign. They made me and the other talent feel incredibly supported and welcomed into the space. It was a privilege being a part of something so impactful and important for our community. I hope to work on future campaigns together," he stated, underscoring the campaign's sense of community and purpose.
For Jazzul Holguin, the campaign was a warm and welcoming experience. "Being a part of this campaign was a great experience. The set was so warm and inviting, and being invited to do this again was an honor. I loved the way everyone was kept informed from start to finish and how everyone who worked on the project cared about the outcome and the message that we were trying to relay to the public. I felt so welcomed and part of a great community the entire time. THANK YOU!" he expressed, reflecting the inclusivity and respect that defined the project.
River Coello, originally from South America and now residing in a Southern state, felt honored to participate in a campaign tailored specifically for Hispanic LGBTQ+ people in the United States. "Participating in this HIV testing campaign was an absolute honor for me. As a resident of a Southern state, originally from South America, I am proud to have been part of this effort specifically designed for Hispanic LGBTQ+ people in the United States," River shared, highlighting the campaign's cultural relevance and impact.
Aj Rivas noted the campaign's ability to inspire and motivate others within the community. "Being able to participate with this campaign has helped me see that all people need is a little push from their peers. Seeing that my peers are ordering their self-testing kits gives me confidence that they also want to stay knowledgeable about their sexual status," he observed, emphasizing the campaign's role in fostering proactive health behaviors.
